JOHANNESBURG – Honor has launched its 600 Lite smartphones in South Africa.

The manufacturer said the device brings together cutting-edge artificial intelligence-powered photography, long-lasting battery life and a sleek, premium metal-forged unibody design.

The Honor 600 Lite will be available in-store from April 24 at a recommended retail price of R8 999 (US$548 or ¥3 740).

Promotional offers start at R399 over 36 months, valid until June 7.

“The Honor 600 Lite reflects what matters most to people across Mzansi: a future-forward designed experience that performs as impressively as the first impression it makes,” said Fred Zhou, Chief Executive Officer of Honor South Africa.

“We’re seeing real interest in AI, especially around the camera. So we focused on making it accessible—something people can explore without overthinking it, with a battery that keeps up while they find what works for them. It is a feature for everyday life, embodied in a premium metal-forged unibody design.”

The smartphone features a 6,520mAh battery supported by 45W Honor SuperCharge.

At the centre of the 600 Lite’s appeal is an upgraded 108MP ultra-clear camera system, evolving from the 2025 Honor 400 Lite.

It is paired with an AI camera button.

According to Honor, it includes 1.8-metre drop resistance.

The device features a 6.6-inch full-view display with ultra-narrow bezels.

It will be available in Sprout Green and Velvet Black.
