JOHANNESBURG – SPINNAKER, a global third-party software support provider, has officially entered the South African market through a strategic partnership with African Rainbow Capital (ARC).
Spinnaker, which offers expert services for Oracle, SAP, and VMware, says the launch comes at a pivotal time for South African enterprises, as core enterprise systems across financial services, telecommunications, retail, and manufacturing increasingly function as critical economic infrastructure.
“We are delighted to introduce our services to the local market at a time when growth is regaining momentum, even as organisations face significant cost pressures,” said Teko Majoki, Managing Director of Spinnaker South Africa.
Majoki emphasised that Spinnaker provides the credible alternative the market has been seeking, and that the company’s presence will strengthen competition and support sustainable growth in the years ahead.
He added that the partnership with ARC reflects a shared belief that enterprise software governance has become a board-level priority.
“South African organisations need credible alternatives that enhance negotiating power, reduce operational risk, and improve capital allocation discipline,” Majoki said.
African Rainbow Capital is a South African investment holding company with interests across financial services and diversified sectors.
Jon Gill, Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Spinnaker, noted that the partnership aims to position South Africa as a meaningful global delivery and engineering hub.
“The focus will include developing local enterprise software engineering and support expertise, integrating into complex, high-availability client environments, and creating exportable service capabilities that support both regional and global operations,” Gill said.
With this move, Spinnaker intends to deliver world-class software support while nurturing local talent, boosting South Africa’s competitiveness in the global technology services market.
